Yay! A fantastic year has passed and I hope that this new year will be as fffaaannntttaaassttiicc as ever!

I wanna delicate this post to all my loved ones and close frens!

2) Bro & SIL – crazy wonderful family members! Bro is crazy (over cars as usual) & SIL has gotten a new fantastic job! ;)
3) HB – best fren cum family member cum lover all rolled into one! He is alllllwwwaayys the best! He took care of me really good while I am sick and he is a fantastic cook too! (However, I realized he is in many ways like mum too – naggy, overprotective and always and forever a supporter in anything everything I do…humm)
4) P4 – GALS! What would my life be without you wonderfully adventurous and awesome pals? You have made my 2008 yet another fantastic year of my life! We have known each other for almost 20 years and I can foresee yet another 50 happy years with you!

Hb gave me a heart attack by surprising me yet another gift; but this is no ordinary gift becoz he nearly dumped 1k on a handbag..*pengz*

I have never ever asked from him a branded bag (as I am very contented with my CK bags) but he just wanted to buy something really really nice for me (aside from the numerous hand-phones & electronic gadgets he has brought for me over these years).

I am very truly touched as I know, to any guy – 1k means way too much.

1k can make a very decent car mod (I remember he has a list of 10000011001010 mod jobs for his beloved STi).

1k can buy a decent humble SLR (I still remember how he always said that a SLR can take much better photos compared to our semipro).

1k can buy the PS3 that he always wanted; he never fails to stare at it whenever we passed one.

1k can buy the electric airplanes/toy cars that he has always wanted (with lotsa of $ left to spare).

Yet he never embark or do any of the things listed above althou I know he really wanted to do so.

And on the eve of Xmas, after finishing a tremendously long report at work, instead of resting at home he rushed down alone to Orchard just to get a darn expensive handbag for me.

And the thing is I have never asked nor lemming for one. It was also my first time visit to their website after receiving the gift.

He just feels that a lady deserved to be pampered by her man..and why not on a Xmas day? (He knows I especially love Xmas.)

And yet all I have gotten for him is a box of $30 chocolate.

Again I am touched beyond words.

I kept telling him that 1 is enough to last me a lifetime. And I think I can pass this bag to our future daughter and tell her the story behind this vintage bag.

He got me this :

However, I insisted that he accompany me to exchange it for a smaller one so that I can get him a wallet too.

New deco for the coming 2009!

Crystal themed to match my favourite OM dining table.

100% DIY (crystals are painstakenly assembled together one by one)

Tada! Photos as below!

Its been a looong time since I did any digital paintings but here it is! A sneak preview of a tanned looking young gal for the theme “Fashion” & “Young people collection”, in the poster design used for the NLB public libraries monthly book displays. :)

Never did I expect that my first post after our Taipei Trip would be on Support Victims of the Cyclone in Myanmar and massive China Earthquake. Imagine thousands homeless, hungry and in desperate need of medical aid! What colossal horror they have undergone and still going through. My heart really goes out to them!

We all can do our bit to support and aid the victims of such gruesome natural disasters. Do visit the following links to find out how we can help them!

P/S: I notice some online shopping blogs are taking this opportunity to pledge some of their profits to the Victims in Myanmar and China and thus encouraging the shoppers to spend more on their site. I however want to stress that as these online shopping blogs are unlike the traditional brick and mortar companies, and so they are not registered with the Government. Therefore we will never know whether the money spent on buying their goods will truly be used to help these people. Hence if you are really want to help, why not take a look at the official websites such as Red Cross and Salvation Army?

We are going off to Taiwan-Taipei end of this month! Yayy! :)

Our ID finally got in touch with the people in charge of the rectification works and got them down last Saturday. Apparently they flew him aeroplanes a few times but he was sick and away and didn’t realise what had happened.

All the rectification works will be settled FOC and all thanks to Kelvin! ;)

Ugh!

After we moved in we realised that there are some teething problems…

1) The silicon for the Bellari hood came off again and this is the 2nd time!

2) Our white false ceiling paint is turning brownish along the lines…

3) Hb found out that the walls near the mosaic platform might be leaking!

We feedback to our ID kelvin a few weeks already (coming to 3 weeks in fact) but still, everytime he promised that he will get people to come up during the weekend…

The weekends passed without any news from them. Just like this week! :(

Misubishi Electric responded and got one of their Mangers, Mr K to attend to us. He called but sad to say, I was very disappointed with him. He didn’t listen to what was the problem and insisted that I am to make an appointment with “the girl outside” for his people to check what is wrong with the circuit board before he can access the situation. However we will have to pay for the costs incurred for the initial assessment. Mr K repeated this (“call the girl to make an appointment with us”) a few times until I got fed up and asked him who the hell is the girl he is referring to? He replied impatiently that is the operator sitting outside of his office (as if I am working there and knows that there is this girl sitting outside his office who makes appointments). I gave up on him and told him I would check with hb first.
I told hb what happened and he was upset over the kind of lousy after-sales attitude and immediately wrote another letter to ME. This time round they agreed to change without needing prior assessment and also, they will waver all the transport and service charges. However we will have to foot the cost of the new circuit board.

They came and finally replaced the circuit board. Nevertheless, I can say that I will hesitate to get another ME product anymore after such a bad encounter with their manager. How did they train their mangers to speak to their customers like that?!
